Issues
Jobs:
Economic recovery and job growth are my top priorities.
Government has a role in the economy but we must amend burdensome regulations that are keeping Marylanders unemployed.
Maryland’s state and local tax burden is the 4th highest in the nation. Taxes in Maryland need to be predictable, competitive, and low.
We must treat small businesses as a source of job creation –not a source of new tax revenue – so Maryland families can get back to work.
Gang Violence:
In Harford County, gang violence has become a serious concern for many families and businesses. In order to protect our communities and schools from gang infiltration we must support the efforts of the Sheriff’s Department and the Police. We must also take responsibility for ourselves. It takes more than just legislation to stop the growth of crime.
Let’s work together to make Harford County the safest place to raise a family and do business.
Taxes and Regulation:
In my business and in my personal life it is important to make smart decisions with money. I cannot borrow money without a plan to pay it back.
This is what our elected officials in Annapolis have been doing for years and it needs to end.
I will work to change the tax and spend mindset in Annapolis. Maryland families have to spend within their means – so must Maryland government.
School Choice:
Our children are our future.
It is crucial that we expand educational opportunities for children in the Route 40 Corridor
I support tax credits for homeschoolers, creating and advocating voucher programs, increasing the number of charter schools, and fully elected school boards.
Right to Life
I am Pro-Life and have been endorsed by Maryland Right to Life.
Second Amendment
I am a card-carrying member of the NRA and I will work to make it easier for Maryland citizens to defend themselves and their homes. I will sponsor legislation to make Maryland a “shall issue” state.
